Hello Planet

We'd like to welcome our readers at Planet Haskell and take the opportunity to introduce ourselves once more: Joyride Laboratories is an independent game studio based in Berlin. Currently, we are working on our first game, a 2D-platformer called "Nikki and the Robots", which is in early alpha stage.
The game is mostly written in Haskell and large parts of it (e.g. the game engine, a level editor and all the needed graphics to use both) are published under free and open licenses. So, if you want to get involved in any way (or if you just want to try to compile the current version of the game), head over to the code section of our website.
So, we hope, you will enjoy reading about the progress of "Nikki and the Robots" on the planet. The next blog post will probably be about our roadmap for the next months. See you soon!

This is awesome. Thanks very much for making this code available. I’m sure it will help a lot of people like me who are interested in making games in Haskell.

Is sfml-audio really available via darcs? It doesn’t seem to be there.

Sorry, the link was outdated. I moved sfml-audio to patch-tag:

You also need buffer from there:

    I’ve updated the code-section.

Sehr geil, bin schon gespannt was noch kommt! :)
Mir gefällt der Stil sehr gut und die Tatsache das ihr Haskell verwendet… und der Code open-source ist. Bin ebenfalls sehr an der Spieleentwicklung in Haskell interessiert (funktional reaktive Programmierung).
